A group of friends and I spent my birthday weekend in New York City. We saw Shingo Katori in the off-Broadway show "Talk Like Singing," had a fabulous dinner at Village Yokocho (our favorite izakaya) and enjoyed the rest of the evening at Decibel Sake Bar.

A good college friend of mine got married this past weekend in NYC. It was like a class reunion. The ceremony and reception were both really lovely, and I am so very happy for my newly-married friend!
