One of my closest friends got married on October 3. She bestowed on me the great privilege of being her maid of honor. This photo is of me and my parents at her wedding reception. Congratulations Ger and Shane!

One of my oldest childhood friends visited me and my parents back home, and we got to meet her adorable baby girl! My friend's mother came too :) It was a fantastic visit and we were all so glad to see them all and meet the newest addition to their family!

I found out yesterday evening that my beloved yiayia (grandmother) Maria passed away. She was 86. I was named after her.
It has been really therapeutic for my mother to go through photo albums and scan photographs of yiayia. Mom took this one of her mother in 1980 in the kitchen of her old house in York, Pennsylvania.
