A different perspective on the usual skyline.

‘Tis the season for house work–it feels like I’ve barely had a moment to sit down and think. Our apartment was de-leaded earlier this summer and since then I’ve been hard at work re-painting our kitchen with my roomate. Any weekend when I haven’t been doing housework I’ve been on the road somewhere, it feels like. So I’m behind on updates. I have about four drafts saved that I just can’t bring myself to post yet. Instead of keeping you guys waiting, here’s a brief on what I’ve been up to. (more…)

We Boston-area folk were truly spoiled last week. Day after day we had stunningly clear and temperate weather. It was a joy for me to hop on my bike every evening after work and go for a long tour from Arlington through Somerville and Cambridge, and then down to the Charles river in a big loop from Memorial Drive to the Esplanade on the Boston side. Blue skies ahead! (Yes, that was a shoutout to the Doves.)

I feel bad for anyone who wandered around the Copley area this afternoon. Kids in freaky costumes took over the Prudential Mall, and a bunch of kooks started a random pillow fight on Copley Square and left a big mess of mud and feathers in their wake.
